Full STEAM ahead: Presenting Youth Art & Sci ProgramsCreate fun Art based or Science programs for Tweens- And you don't have to be an Artist or a Scientist. In this session participants will learn how to create a successful Art series or a Stem based program geared for Tweens, an often-overlooked age group. The concepts could also be adjusted for younger or older students. The program will be divided into two parts: Part 1- I will discuss how to start an Art program in a library. Students will create art inspired by well know artists throughout history. There will be lots of samples and step by step ideas provided. Participants will leave with a packet filled with lesson plans and resources. Speakers: Christine Culp I have a background and degree in Art and Design and a MLS. I worked as a designer for Hallmark cards and free lance artist. I have been a working youth librarian for over 16 years. Renee Stokes Renee has been a youth librarian for 26 years. She loves turning kids on to Science in fun creative ways. Track: Youth Services
