Combining Your Superpowers: Academic and Public Libraries Join Forces

This session will focus on collaborative efforts between local academic and public libraries that do not exist within a joint-use environment. These stand alone facilities share projects in areas such as health, career/employment and other events that benefit their mutual communities. A presenter from both types of institutions will provide first-hand experience with these types of multi-library projects such as a "Joint Comic-Con". Participants will also come away with tips on how to network with colleagues from other areas of librarianship and how to surpass barriers that may arise. Each library has their strengths but when combined their superpowers will awe their patrons.
