Asian Drumming with Tampa Taiko

Website: www.TampaTaiko.com

For Summer Reading Programs in 2021, our program fits neatly into the theme: Animals and Stories. Long ago, people in Asia would take their biggest drums into the field to play loudly so they could scare away the pests that eat the crops. Drums were played to mimic the sound of animals. Every summer, the theme will vary, but our program remains the same: After a demonstration and performance, everyone gets to play our big drums.

$350 is the typical fee for a solo performer. We can send duo or an ensemble for a higher fee.
