2018 FLA Poster Proposal Session Information

Poster Sessions - May 23-25, 2018

Poster sessions are a unique opportunity to share with a wide range of professional colleagues. Poster sessions may cover an array of topics such as, but not limited to, reports on library projects and programs, research studies, current and future trends, and problem analysis. Poster session presenters will create high-quality visual material to cover a 4 foot by 8-foot area and will be expected to discuss their poster session with other conference attendees. For information about the conference, please visit the FLA Conference Website

The deadline for submission has passed.  Review of proposals will begin immediately after the deadline for submission.  Acceptance emails will be sent out by the beginning of February 2018. All poster session presenters must be registered for the conference (either the full conference or for the day of their session). April 23, 2018 is the deadline for early registration, which offers a significant discount.  Poster proposals submitted by vendors will not be considered.

Poster Session Tips

  • This is a visual presentation. It should be creative and visually appealing as well as informative and readable from several feet away. Make as big an impact on the eye as you can.
  • Titles should be simple, to the point, and catchy.
  • Your display should be easy to follow in a logical manner. Avoid clutter.
  • All material should be visible from about 4 feet.
  • Handouts are strongly encouraged but are not required.
  • Alternatively, you may want to have a sign-up sheet or collect business cards to email the handouts afterward.
